What do the dues cover ?
Part of the Association dues  goes towards administering an organization with 18,000 members! The Association team is always working to find sponsorship and package deals for all members. The local dues (Cleveland receives $25.00 per membership from National) are used mainly for operating expenses such as printing, mailing costs, website maintenance and weekly prizes.

The Cleveland Chapter has seven courses and at each of those courses, there occasionally may be  prizes given for a friendly "play of the day" contests. The Cleveland Chapter also looks for opportunities to donate to local charities. At the end of the season, if there is money to spare, it is used to keep the cost of the year end event down.

Do I have to be a good golfer to join EWGA ?
No, you do not have to be a good golfer to join EWGA. In fact, many of our members are new or beginning golfers who have improved since joining. It's the best place to learn the game.

How do I join EWGA ?
Go the EWGA National website, www.ewga.com, where you will find an online application.  Once that is processed you will be contacted by the Cleveland Chapter Membership Committee with a welcome package. We would like you to select a “home course” (check out the course page) where you would like to play. This does not limit you from playing other EWGA courses on other days - just hope for good weather! Please email our Membership Chair, Elsa Arriola, if you have more questions..

Will better golfers be upset when I start playing?
A good portion of our membership have started as new golfers and understand what it is like to be a new golfer. Our Chapter tries to provide an environment where women can learn to play golf without pressure. Check out our Education page , there you will find new golfer clinics for our members who feel they are not ready for the course. You will find that we have league play at several different local courses to help accommodate golfers of all skill levels.
